The crappie have been very scattered this year with most fish being larger than average size. I've targeted tight to the sticks. I have to stick and move as they don't seem to be as concentrated as most years. That being said, there are crappie on most of the the thicker and deeper structures. These two measured at 12 and 13 inch.
For bass fishing, they are absolutely on fire. Many have just finished or are finishing up their spawns and they are targetting the schools of baitfish. We seem them smacking the surface. They see us after we've coaxed them with a shad rap or other diving plugs.
